Ed Newman earned a BSB in Business Management from the University of Minnesota in 1981. After working in retail management and entrepreneurial ventures, Ed became an Agent with Prudential in 1986. Within 2 years, he was promoted to management, where he remained for 12 years. In 2000, Ed chose to return to building his practice as a Financial Advisor. He has specialized in working with clients on retirement and estate planning strategies. Ed’s office is located in Sussex, and he employs three Marketing Assistants, Barb Gehl, Katy Pfister, and Erin Volkmann.
In 2015, Ed partnered with BJ Helleson to form a DBA, StratiFi Strategic Financial Solutions, while maintaining Prudential as his employer. Ed takes continuing education seriously, earning his CLU® and ChFC®, and designations. Ed has also served a functional role speaking and training at most of the Prudential offices across the country.
Ed and his wife Joan have been married since 1990. They have a married daughter and two grandchildren, who live locally. Ed enjoys history, US and international travel, running, hiking, growing roses, and leading a men’s group at church.
